A Melbourne catchment this reservoir has great veiws, picnicking , walks and wild life galore. Kangaroos roam freely all over the parkland and great day out for families at no cost. Walks can be challenging with hills for the keen hikers. Well recommended with in Yarra rangers and short drive from Melbourne.
Plenty of space down in the picnic area and a nice long walk along the top of the dam. Lots of parking space too and well used BBQ areas.Worth going out to spend some time out of the city easy to get to from Wellington Rd.
Nice geographical location combination of land, water, hills, trees. One of our relative told us nice place to see kangaroo. That's why we came Sunday. But when we asked for directions in Google map it showed this place is closed already as we start at 7:30pm. But after coming here we found the park is open till dusk. This place has a great value as it supply water for melbourne.
Great place for the whole family. Long walks for the dogs and a fantastic playground for the little ones. We enjoy the hiking trails and there are plenty of kangaroos and native birds. Will definitely be back. If you find this review helpful please hit the thumbs up/ like button.
Very serene and lush green park along the side of a reservoir with a huge bunt. The view of the reservoir is quite amazing.The park has several BBQs and toilets. And plenty of trees acting as shaded areas for a hot day. It also has a nice sized kids play area to keep them occupied.
